Jessica writes contemporary women`s fiction so an aspiring writer in this genre may be better suited than someone writing another genre, However, Jessica tutors workshops on settings and writing in a series and these learnings are transferrable across genres so please don`t let a genre difference dissuade you.

About the author:
Jessica lives in Scarborough on the stunning North Yorkshire Coast - a place which inspired the creation of the fictional seaside town of Whitsborough Bay where thirteen of her books so far are set. Her Hedgehog Hollow series and spin-off Bumblebee Barn take readers to the rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds and her brand new `Escape to the Lakes` series is set in the stunning Lake District National Park.
Jessica has mainly worked in HR in training, coaching and recruitment roles but is now a full-time author and still can`t quite believe she gets to spend her days creating fictional characters and making stuff up.
