Sharing options

This auction is being held to raise money to provide options for women on benefits who want to go into self-employment.

We are creating a seed fund for The Growing Club to manage! With the discontinuation of the New Enterprise Allowance in December 2021, there are fewer options for women on benefits to go into self-employment other than getting a loan. We want to ensure there are options for these women instead of taking on more debt.

The New Enterprise Allowance was a small grant for women on benefits to help with their start-up costs and the scheme also provided a mentor. The discontinuation of this scheme has left women without financial, practical or mentoring support when going into self-employment.

The event is going to be concluded at The Gregson Centre, LA1 3PY on the 20th of May 2022. We would love to see you there!!
